Our shared interest explores the performativity of bodies, enquiring the structures that define literal and metonymic forms of contact and personal mutuality, personal or impersonal, incorporated or rather incarnated. We do so by bringing processual and contractual work into artistic structures, or overscripting those with protocols for action and agreement. The work focuses on the dynamics of interaction between human bodies and nonhuman entities such as sanctioned and unsanctioned institutions. It explores the concepts of delegation and imposition that underlie practices of negotiation and collaboration. The projects entail acts of imposed care (A.D.L. A Labor of Love, 2013) and donation (The Pacifist Library, 2012 -); They activate processes of familiarization in conditions of cultural incommensurability (Panda Diplomacy, 2015); They establish personalizing correspondences (Mission Statement, 2012); They enact the bodily disciplinarization of nonviolent protest in Laban movement research (Resist Everywhere Masako, 2015).
